On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the declaration of the processes involved in the making of Talavera ceramics as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, the City Council of Talavera de la Reina, through the Department of Crafts and Tourism, is organising a week full of activities to bring this heritage closer to all citizens.

During these days, participatory pottery and ceramic painting workshops will be offered, as well as free guided tours of the ceramic murals spread throughout the city. A unique opportunity to get to know first-hand the artisan work, the cultural value of Talavera ceramics and their role in local identity.

The City Council reaffirms its commitment to the preservation, transmission and dissemination of Ceramic Heritage, promoting the participation of the artisan community, the cultural fabric and the public at large.
