The collective exhibition “Ceràmica Viva (6th edition)” was held from 08/04/2022 to 26/01/2024 in the “Current Affairs” space of La Bisbal d’Empordà, and was organised by the Associació de Ceramistes de la Bisbal in collaboration with the local museum.

This exhibition is part of the 2022–2023 season and is located at the end of the permanent space “The Creators”. It showcased the works of more than thirty ceramists, displaying the richness and diversity of contemporary ceramics from La Bisbal.

The exhibition stood out for its wide range of techniques and styles: clay, glazes, porcelain, stoneware, utilitarian ceramics, architectural ceramics, pieces for gardening, craftsmanship, design, km 0 industry and experimental firing processes.

La Bisbal d’Empordà is a historical reference in ceramic production, with documents already mentioning the craft in the town as early as 1502. The abundance of clay, water and fuel, together with a favourable environment, consolidated its ceramic identity over the centuries. Today, “Ceràmica Viva” continues this tradition by promoting contemporary creation and the dissemination of the craft.
