As every year, on 28/08/2025 the main day of the festivities in honour of Saint Augustine and Our Lady of the Valley was celebrated in the potters’ quarter of Mota del Cuervo.

The streets were decorated with altars and flowers to welcome the traditional procession of the patron saints’ images. The route began at 11:00 a.m. from the Hermitage of Saint Augustine, the epicentre of the religious events, and went through the main streets of the neighbourhood amid the scent of rosemary and the sound of the band of the Asociación Musical Moteña.

At the end of the procession, which was attended by the queen, ladies, potter women, and civil and religious authorities, Holy Mass was celebrated, followed by an open invitation to members of the brotherhood and local residents.

In the afternoon, at 8:00 p.m., the offering and payment of duties corresponding to the previous year’s auction took place, an event that is repeated the following day in the atrium of the hermitage. Children and adults participated with their offerings to Saint Augustine and Our Lady of the Valley, keeping alive one of the town’s most cherished traditions.
