The Fira Artesana – Ceramics and Crafts Fair of La Bisbal d’Empordà will take place on 29/03/2025 and 30/03/2025 at Passeig Marimon Asprer, consolidating itself as one of the most prominent events in the craft sector in Catalonia.

La Bisbal d’Empordà, recognised as a Craft City by the World Craft Council and cradle of a Singular Craft of Catalonia, is one of the country’s main ceramic centres. This context makes the Artesana fair an essential meeting point for artisans and ceramics enthusiasts.

The event brings together artisans from different trades — ceramics, pottery, jewellery, basketry, textiles, leather and more — who exhibit and sell their handcrafted products.

Non-food artisans with an artisan card and local ceramists from La Bisbal.

• Historic weekly market (since 1322): from 08:00 to 14:00 in the old town.

• Participatory origami workshop: creation of animals and wild beasts – Espai Artesania, 10:30 to 11:30 (Friday and Saturday).

• Wheel-throwing workshop and ceramic activities: open to all ages – Espai Ceràmica, 11:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 19:00 (Friday).

• Participatory basketry workshop: making a wicker and cane fish – Espai Artesania, 12:00 to 14:00 (Friday).

• Modelling workshop: creation of a refractory clay book for Sant Jordi – Espai Artesania, 16:00 to 18:00 (Friday).

• Bulrush workshop: making rush placemats – Espai Artesania, 18:00 to 20:00 (Friday).

The Fira Artesana combines history, tradition and contemporary creativity, offering visitors an immersive experience in the craft culture of La Bisbal.
