During the day, the most traditional events take place: the renewal of the <em data-start=\"261\" data-end=\"275\">vot de poble<\/em> by the mayor, the blessing of the waters of the Font de Sant Dom\u00e8nec, the blessing and sale of the \u201c<em data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"393\">c\u00e0ntir de l\u2019any<\/em>\u201d, and the classic strength and ingenuity games related to water and the pitcher.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"842\">In the 2022 edition, the author of the <em data-start=\"515\" data-end=\"532\">c\u00e0ntir de l\u2019any<\/em> was Carme Pin\u00f3s, an internationally recognised architect and designer, who also became the first woman entrusted with the design since the start of the <em data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"702\">c\u00e0ntirs d\u2019autor<\/em> series of the Museu del C\u00e0ntir (2017). Her proposal combines functionality and elegance, made with red clay and contrasting white finishes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"1179\">The design and production process was coordinated by Quim Larrea, with moulds by Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Osuna and production by Jos\u00e9 Antonio G\u00f3mez, a ceramist from Caldes de Montbui. A total of 3,000 numbered units were produced, available for \u20ac25 at the Museu del C\u00e0ntir and during the festival at the sales point next to the Font de Sant Dom\u00e8nec.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1219\"><strong data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1219\">Programme highlights for 4 August:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1298\">07:00: Preparation and blessing of the <em data-start=\"1260\" data-end=\"1269\">c\u00e0ntirs<\/em> at the Font de Sant Dom\u00e8nec.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1355\">10:00: Opening of the Museu del C\u00e0ntir and exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1436\">10:30 (Pla\u00e7a de Vendre): Children\u2019s games around the <em data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1418\">c\u00e0ntir<\/em> (Gran Xarbotada).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1542\">At the end of the \u201cVot de Poble\u201d (Font de Sant Dom\u00e8nec): Blessing and sale of the <em data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1529\">c\u00e0ntirs<\/em> of the year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1544\" data-end=\"1648\">12:00 (Pla\u00e7a de Vendre): <em data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1577\">C\u00e0ntir<\/em>-lifting competition (from 10 to 200 kg) with cash prizes and trophies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1759\">13:00 (Pla\u00e7a Nova): Presentation of the Giant Artist <em data-start=\"1703\" data-end=\"1711\">C\u00e0ntir<\/em> with the authors Gemma Armengol and Igor Garai.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1934\">The festival is held with the collaboration of the Amics del Museu del C\u00e0ntir, the wood-fired bakery Forn de llenya Can Mor\u00e9, and the sponsorship of various local companies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Festa del C\u00e0ntir of Argentona, revived in 1951, is  [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":2666,"template":"","meta":{"_tribe_events_status":"","_tribe_events_status_reason":"","footnotes":""},"tags":[],"tribe_events_cat":[82],"class_list":["post-2667","tribe_events","type-tribe_events","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tribe_events_cat-argentona","cat_argentona"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.0 -
